- IMX179 is a 1/3.2-inch high-performance CMOS image sensor launched by Sony, designed for smartphones, tablets and portable smart devices. The IMX179 sensor module uses advanced back-illuminated (BSI) technology to significantly improve the photosensitivity in low-light environments, while supporting high dynamic range (HDR) shooting to meet users' needs for high-definition image quality and smooth images.
